Ana C. Bohórquez, pH.D.

Ana’s journey began as a Chemical Engineer working on a Business Development Engineer role in the petroleum oil industry, and later as a Logistics Supervisor at Belcorp, a global leader in beauty and personal care in the Americas. After completing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on the biomedical applications of nanotechnology, Ana strived to connect the worlds of beauty and science using advanced materials characterization techniques. Since then, she became passionate about understanding the performance of particle systems in cosmetics, personal care, and medical devices. Ana also worked as a Senior Scientist, New Technologies & Innovation with an emphasis on inorganic particle-based sunscreens at Swiss American CDMO.

In 2020, Ana decided to pursue her entrepreneurial endeavors to become a consultant for contract manufacturing organizations developing skin health products including medical devices, OTC topicals and cosmetics. This resulted in the formation of BOHR Scientific Solutions, and the assembling of an experienced and multidisciplinary technical advisory board. Currently, Ana is engaged with the entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout the Pacific Northwest area in the U.S. 

Ana is a strategic consultant that pilgrims for innovation and pledge customer service excellence seeking to solve complex problems with empathy. She has a restless spirit and also is a lifelong learner.
